Face to Face

Let us not forget that along with a keen eye, wisdom also has a beak that will tear truth from lies, and talons that are ready to grip us firmly away from stupidity.  She is not mean, but will look us square in the face if we want that much honesty.

Just like with most other things, we tend to soften her down to a sedate and nearly silent advisor.  

But that is not her job.

If we want her, she comes with all her raw beauty.
